Meet Nathan C. Braxmeyer, DMD

Dentistry is where I can combine my skill, knowledge, and compassion to help people improve and maintain their oral health.

It is rewarding to get someone out of pain, to brighten a smile and the individual’s self-confidence, and to provide a safe and supportive space where each person knows they matter. One of the greatest benefits of working in a close-knit community is having the opportunity to build trusting relationships with each person who comes to us for care.

The Practice

Silverton Family Dentistry offers a high level of skill, empathy, and integrity. We are quality-driven and dedicated to providing everyone who comes through our doors with the level of dental care and service we would expect for ourselves and loved ones. Placing the individual’s health and comfort at the forefront, we find effective, lasting solutions for lifetimes of oral health.

Education

Growing up in Forest Grove, I always had positive dental experiences and that drove my interest in dentistry. I attended Oregon Health & Science University, where I obtained my Doctorate of Dental Medicine in 2010.

Since completing dental school, I have actively sought out a range of continuing education (CE) opportunities. CE allows me to keep up with new techniques, technology, and materials, as well as broaden my skillset and increase my knowledge. By constantly learning, I am able to provide additional services, safely and effectively, and meet each person’s dental needs.

I am a member of the American and Oregon Dental Associations, and the Marion Polk Dental Society. These organizations offer a number of meetings, seminars, and lectures each year, which enable me to learn from leading practitioners, researchers, and from and alongside my peers.

Beyond the Practice

Outside the office, I spend much of my time with my family at our home in Southwest Hillsboro. My wife Elise and I married in 2009 and we now have three children: Aria, born in 2012, Easton, born in 2014, and Hadley, born in 2015. With three young kids in the house, Elise and I spend a lot of time trying to keep up with all their interests and activities!
